Admissions Process

We are excited about the opportunity to partner with you in meeting your child's educational needs. We see education as a partnership between you, The Swift School, and your child. Through our Admissions process, we will help you answer your questions about The Swift School. We will review your child's records and meet with him or her for a short one-on-one interview and classroom visit to help ensure that The Swift School is the right fit for your child. 

Here is an overview of the admissions process.

  1. Prospective parents attend one of The Swift School's tours and obtain an application packet.
  2. The student application is completed and returned to The Swift School with a copy of the Psychoeducational report and $150 nonrefundable application fee. School records and teacher evaluations are requested by the applicant's parents, and mailed directly to The Swift School.
     
  3. Once all required documents are received by The Swift School, we will contact you to schedule a school visit.
     
  4. The applicant will attend a scheduled school visit, involving a short one-on-one interview and time in an appropriate classroom.
     
  5. The Admissions Committee will review the applicant's file and make an admission decision. Notification will be mailed within two to four weeks.
     
  6. We ask that an offer of admission be accepted within seven days of notification, at which time a $1,000 deposit must be submitted to hold the space.

The Swift School is a private, non-profit school for children ages 5 through 12 with dyslexia and related mild to moderate language-based learning differences. The Swift School is committed to providing a comprehensive intervention program in a supportive, caring, and stimulating learning environment.

  

ADMISSIONS CHECK LIST

The Swift School is not associated with any social or religious organizations. The Swift School admits qualified students of any race, color, sex, religion, or national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school.

The applicant's parents/guardians are responsible for making certain that all necessary application forms are completed and returned to the Admissions Office in a timely manner.
