Tutoring

Swift School Tutoring Program is available to students with dyslexia and language-based learning differences. Swift School Tutoring Program provides a comfortable environment for students to build on academic skills and to expand their learning. They receive one-on-one care and support from tutors who are committed to excellence. Tutoring sessions are designed to meet the individual needs of students in reading, writing, language, math, and study skills.

Language Tutorial:

Uses a multi-sensory approach to teaching  reading, writing, and spelling based on Orton-Gillingham principles

Reading Comprehension:

Focuses on comprehension skills such as vocabulary, sequencing, inferencing, character analysis, etc.

Study Skills:

Teaches compensation techniques, organizational strategies and study skills for note-taking, and daily homework assignments

Math:

Uses a multi-sensory approach for skills ranging from addition to algebra, word problems to computation skills

Tutoring Policies:

• The tutoring schedule will be established prior to the initial meeting. A minimum of five sessions is required.
• Tutoring rates are $75 per session. Please make checks payable to Swift School.
• A minimum of five sessions must be paid before the first tutoring session.
• Once a schedule is established, it is essential that the student not miss any sessions, as refunds are not available. Any substitutions must be preapproved.
• All tutoring will be at Swift School.
