Physical Education Program

The Physical Education program at Swift School is an important part of the curriculum.  It is designed to develop physically educated students with emphasis on maximum participation regularly and the practice of good sportsmanship skills.

The Swift School PE program strives to offer the best environment for students to increase skill development individually (one on one) and within groups that are physically wholesome, mentally stimulating, and socially sound.

With these priorities in mind we hope to instill a level of intrinsic motivation to participate in physical activities for lifetime fitness.

Philosophy:

·         Maximum participation

·         Today’s preparation determines tomorrow’s achievements

·         Practice does not necessarily make perfect, it makes permanent

Developing game-playing skills is central to effective sport performance. During game play, the player is ultimately responsible for discovering and assessing game needs, solving problems, and responding with appropriate decisions and skills resulting in maximum performance.

PE Modules rotate every two weeks

 ·         Badminton

·         Basketball

·         Dance and Movement

·         Educational Gymnastics

·         Flag Football
